On November 25, 2023, as part of the Cultural Academy project, InterKulturForum GmbH organized a tour of the “Kimono” exhibition in the Rietberg Museum, which was dedicated to
the Japanese national costume – the kimono. The excursion was led by Dr. Natalia Maslakova-Clauberg, Managing Director of the IKF. She spoke about the history of the creation of
the kimono, the traditions of wearing this amazing piece of clothing in various historical periods and Japanese holidays, as well as in modern times. In addition, she also reported
on the history of the Rietberg Museum and its historic villas – Villa Wesendonck, Schönberg and Rieter. The cultural event ended in the museum café, where the participants continued
to discuss the topic and could ask Dr. Natalia Maslakova-Clauberg additional questions.
